Abstract The authentication of NEBS is a prerequisite threshold for suppliers of telecommunication equipment to access American market. The contents, requirements, and 
levels of NEBS criteria are presented in the thesis. Summarization of significant 
proceedings and advices during the course of authentication is done, based on the 
experiences of suppliers who have been passed the authentication of NEBS.
