Abstract: Software evaluation is a new requirement for safety testing of household 
appliances proposed by the latest standard. This paper introduces the general matters
of software evaluation of household appliances, including the elementary requirements
the main process, the necessary knowledge and the preparation for implementation 
of software evaluation, as a reference to the software evaluation engineers and the 
manufacturers of household appliances.
