Abstract The test requirements of notebook personal computer and similar product 
which is mentioned in IEC 60950-1(Am.1)2.0 were introduced. A detailed interpretation 
for the related test items, especially for input test, limited power source measurement
heating test and abnormal operating test, was given by analyzing the test methods, 
test aims and design guidelines. The solutions against failing the test were shared.
