Abstract The basic requirements of 5 GHz Wi-Fi DFS test in FCC certification are
introduced. A slave device without radar detection function is discussed as a specific
example for DFS test requirements. The necessary test items such as radar waveform,
the time for channel moving, and transmission stopping, the time of channel available
are introduced, which are used to decide if the EUT could meet the requirements of
DFS test. The specific test procedures and decision evidence are involved in detail as
well.
