Abstract The main requirements of lightning induced transient susceptibility for airborne 
equipment in RTCA DO-160G Section 22 are introduced.Three test methods, which are pin
injection tests, cable bundle tests and ground injection tests, are introduced in detail. 
Finally, the matters needing attention are illustrated.
