The radiated disturbance of radio frequency (RF) at close proximity is a challenge to some multi-media equipment (MME), which though pass the test of IEC 61000-4-3 at distance of 3 m, and would suffer performance degrading when liable to the phone call nearby. This proposal is originated in MT 8 of CISPR 2019 Shanghai meeting. The immunity test at distance range of 0.1~0.2 m is discussed, at higher frequency band, and updated performance criteria, compared to those settings in IEC 61000-4-39. The measurement at distance 0.1~0.2 m is still of far field when considering the wavelength of RF disturbance. A new broadband source with exquisite level setting is expected. The new method would apply on alternative test sites than the traditional semi or full anechoic chambers. On site test would be tried to simulate how the MME is used in actual situation.
