Research on a Time Domain Joint Calibration for Transient Intense Electromagnetic Field Sensors
Due to the amplitude limitation of continuous wave and additional time-frequency conversion issues, it is difficult to apply the frequency domain calibration method proposed in IEEE Std 1309-2013 to the calibration of transient intense electromagnetic field sensors. Therefore, a more appropriate time domain joint calibration method is developed. After analysis, in the time domain calibration, the rising edge of the pulse can be used to represent the bandwidth in the time domain calibration. The calibration coefficient obtained after excitation with pulse signals of different amplitudes are also the same in the time domain and frequency domain calibration. According to the difference in the field uniformity and upper frequency limit of standard electromagnetic field generation devices, the time domain joint calibration method uses a monocone TEM cell for rising edge calibration, and a TEM cell for sensor coefficient calibration. The calibration process and operation of the time domain joint calibration method is also introduced detailly.
