EMC Challenges in 5G Communication
5G mobile communication is an emerging technology, it is able to achieve a transmission rate nearly 10 times faster than 4G based on the prediction of communication industry, which means that 5G can achieve a transmission rate around 1 Gb/s. In other word, it only takes 10 seconds to download a 1 GB HD movie through 5G network! According to Shannon's formula, if you increase the wireless transmission rate, you have to widen the bandwidth of the spectrum. However, most of the spectrum below 5 GHz is occupied, thus millimeter wave technology has become the key to 5G. Meanwhile, new EMC challenges arise with the increase of frequency band.
